  • RQC Group LLC is hiring Fiber Splicing Technicians for the Stargate Project (Project Ludacris) in Abilene, TX. We need dependable, motivated workers with basic fiber experience ready to perform in a high-demand hyperscale data center environment.

    Responsibilities:
    Splice 16-count to 2x8-count ribbon fibers in trays Assist with OTDR testing and documentation Terminate, label, and organize fiber routes per site requirements Support project lead with daily operations and maintain clean, safe work environment Follow all site safety protocols and PPE requirements

    Qualifications:
    Minimum 1 year fiber splicing or related low-voltage cabling experience Basic proficiency with fiber tools (fusion splicer, cleaver, etc.) Knowledge of TIA/EIA standards preferred but not required Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn Reliable transportation and basic hand tools

    Certifications:
    OSHA 10 or 30 required - Must have before start date OR obtain within 30 days of hire Reimbursement: Exam costs reimbursed within 30 days of completion (before or after onboarding) Fiber-related training is a plus

    Schedule & Compensation:
    Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6 days/week (either 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am) Rotation: Sunday-Friday OR Monday-Saturday Cycle: 3 weeks on, 1 week off

    Required PPE:
    Hard hat Safety glasses High-visibility vest Level 4 or 5 cut-resistant gloves Leather steel-toe boots

    Pay starting at $45/hr
